DENGUE FEVER - ARBOVIRUS

“Breakbone fever” disease caused by arbovirus and transmitted to humans principally by the mosquito aedes aegypti (Yellow fever mosquito). Symptoms severe joint/muscle pain, headache, sore throat, fever, running of the eyes, irritating rash. Lasts a few days, symptoms recurr in 2-3 days usually milder.

Dengue hemorrhagic fever characterized by breakdown of blood clotting mechanism with internal bleeding - effects children.
