ResponseDiagnosis - Acute mastoititis
Erythema posterior to Auricle
Oedema post auricular
Ear bulging outwards
Management:
Analgesia
IV antibiotics - Fluclox + ceftriaxone (eTG Ceftriaxone/cefotaxime, Vanc if penicillin allergy)
Admission under ENT for observation +/- imaging +/- surgery
Pathogens
GAS, S. pneumoniae, S. Aureus
